David 6th Birthday Party

David had a Transformers birthday party. He had lots of fun, his favorite thing was eating his Optimus Prime Transformer head birthday cake.

Alyssa 4th Birthday

Alyssa had an Ariel birthday Party. She had fun with her friends.

Happy Halloween

The kids had fun on Halloween. Nathan even won 2nd place in the Ashley Furniture costume contest. The 2nd place prize was to be the junior weatherman for KREX channel 5. First place won a Playstation so Nathan was a little disappointed that he didn't win that, but he had fun doing the weather.

It was hard to get a good picture of Emma, so I posted two. Emma was Tinkerbell.

Nathan was R2D2. Grandma Kaye and Philip's brother Kyle drove through Grand Junction a few days before Halloween when we were making this costume and helped us get in finished in time for his school party.

Happy Birthday Nathan

Nathan turned 8 and had his birthday party last week. He is really into Pokemon this year and we were able to find a Pokemon cake pan and have a Pokemon birthday party. Nathan had a fun birthday with lots of Pokemon games. He also got a lot of fun presents from his friends including some Pokemon cards.
Nathan is looking forward to his Baptism on September 19th at 5pm.


We made party favor holders to look like pokeballs.

First day of school

Nathan and David started school yesterday so here are their first day of school pictures. Nathan is still at the same school and since he was in a combined 1st/2nd grade class last year he will be in that same class for 2nd grade this year with Mr. Brown. He was very excited to start school because three of his good friends are in his class.

David is in Kindergarten this year and his teacher is Mrs. McEvoy. When we met her we found out that Nathan's teacher, Mr. Brown, did his student teaching in her class.


Of course Alyssa and Emma had to have their pictures taken also.

Denver

Philip had a meeting in downtown Denveron Friday, so we went with him. While he was in his meeting, we toured downtown Denver. We started by riding the 16th Street mall trolley for its entire loop. We then went to the Denver Art Museum. The museum had lots of activites for the kids to do. They had tons of fun!

When Philip got done with his meeting, we met him and toured the Capitol.

On Saturday, Jace patiently took our Family picture. Alyssa and Emma didn't want to smile at the same time so it took us a little while to get the perfect shot. After that we went to Payton's birthday party and had a BBQ with Philip's family. The kids had fun swimming and playing on the Slip 'n Slide. The kids were having a water fight with there Uncle Jace so this is the only picture I got as I peeked out the door because I didn't want to get wet.

After the BBQ, we went to a Colorado Rockies game with Heath and Stephanie.

David had more fun smashing peanuts than watching the game.
